Our process is A simple and thoughtful - 2 Step Program
Step 1 : EDucation (technical & Entrepreneurship)
Designed for:
14–20 participants per cohort
Women within 6–18 months of release date to maximize proximity to employment
Education Includes:
Duration — 8 weeks
Lesson Plan— Weeks 1–6: Lash artistry (technical) Participants will complete the program with hands-on experience performing four full lash extension sets
Weeks 7–8: Entrepreneurship module, create a professionally curated portfolio demonstrating their technical skills, and a customized Business and Employment Plan to support successful employment opportunities and business growth within the beauty industry.
Portfolio and Certificate of Completion —Participants completing the program create a professionally curated portfolio demonstrating their technical skills to support successful employment opportunities, and receive a Lash Legacy Project Certificate of Completion.
Step 2 : The Launchpad
A 30-day post-release mentorship and connection program for graduates of the in-facility track. Research consistently demonstrates that the gap between skill acquisition and sustainable employment is the leading cause of recidivism — The Launchpad is specifically designed to close that gap.
Launchpad participants receive:
Job placement support— warm introductions to beauty businesses, salons, and lash studios partnered with Lash Legacy Project
Starter Kit— a professional-grade set of tools and supplies enabling graduates to begin earning immediately
Ongoing mentorship— 1-on-1 career guidance covering social media setup, client acquisition, pricing, and business management
Business formation guidance — support with LLC registration, EIN acquisition, and business banking for graduates pursuing self-employment
